Seller Guide

Everything you need to know to sell successfully on Benny's Toy Chest.

Getting started

1. Create your account

Sign up for free at bennystoychest.com. No subscription required — you only pay when you sell.

2. Connect PayPal

Go to Settings → PayPal and connect your PayPal account. This is required to receive payouts. Use a PayPal Business account for the best experience.

3. Create your first listing

Click "List Item" in the navbar. Add photos, description, condition, price and shipping details. Your listing goes live instantly.

Listing tips

Great photos sell

Use natural light. Show all sides, any defects, and the spine/back. 5-8 photos is ideal.

Detailed descriptions

Include edition, year, any flaws, completeness (all pieces included?), and storage history.

Get it graded

PSA, CGC or BGS graded items sell for significantly more. Worth the investment for valuable items.

Price competitively

Check eBay sold listings and recent sales on our platform to price right. Accepts offers gets more bids.

Ship carefully

Use proper protective packaging. Comics need boards and bags. Cards need toploaders. Games need bubble wrap.

Ship fast

Ship within 1-2 days (3 max). Fast shippers get better reviews and repeat buyers.

Fees

Benny's Toy Chest charges a flat 3.99% fee on completed sales. There are no listing fees, no monthly fees, and no hidden charges. You only pay when you successfully sell something.

Getting paid

When do I get paid?

You receive your payout when the buyer confirms delivery. This usually happens within 3-7 days of shipping. If the buyer doesn't confirm within 14 days, payment is released automatically.

How do payouts work?

Payouts are sent directly to your connected PayPal account. The platform fee is deducted automatically — you don't need to do anything.

What if there's a dispute?

If a buyer opens a dispute, your payout is held until it's resolved. Our team mediates fairly. Provide tracking info and photos of the packaged item to protect yourself.
